What Emotion Wastes Your Energy and Why?

“Worry is a misuse of the imagination.”- Dan Zadra

I do it.

You do it.

We all do it…we worry.

Why we do it is as complex as you want to make it. Or you can simply say that to worry is human.

Worry robs us of so many things, but particularly of the mind’s ability to seek and imagine that there could be another way.

So just for today, let’s STOP, breathe and not worry.  Instead…let’s hold hands, together, as we did in Kindergarten and work in this new year, 2013, to worry less and IMAGINE more. And let’s do this…one day at a time.

I joined the BlogHer January Blogging series, in early January.  A series of blog prompts that bloggers agree to write about each day. I’ve not been able to keep it up daily, but it’s been a fun adventure. While participating, I’ve tried to push myself to be creative and grow in my ability to be a better blogger. It would be great for you to participate with me by commenting on my post with your own take on the topic. I only have 4 days left so wish me luck!

I should first tell you that I am a worrier. I always have been. However, my pastor once said something that really resonated with me. He said: “worrying means not trusting God.” When I worry, I try to put it in this context. I can only do what I can do to eliminate the concern. After that, it’s in God’s hands.

Thanks Kenna for stopping by and commenting. I agree with you, whole heartedly. I tend toward the worrier persona, myself. I’ve been working on this quite a bit though. Seeking to trust more, and let go. 2013 will be a great year for us, if we seek to worry less and imagine more!
