I am a veteran teacher. I appreciate your blog for several reasons. First of all, if there’s a better way of doing something I’m all for it! Secondly, I remember my pathetic teaching from my first few years… it was tough and there was no one to talk to. It’s great to have a place to vent that isn’t your fellow co-workers and your husband. Thanks for all you do!

Thanks so much for startin this! I love #ntchat because as a veteran teacher, I’m always looking to find ways to mentor younger teachers. When I started, I wish I had a PLN like the one #ntchat offers! Thanks so much for helping us help others! My twitter handle is @mac_ker1 and my blog is brownbagacademics.blogspot.com

I wish there was a #ntchat when I first started teaching. Now, I’m 15 years in (still feeling like a rookie at times), but I know I have a place to go to share ideas, learn from others, and reflect on what it means to be a teacher. There is also a certain “freshness” to #ntchat that is brought to the chat by the excitement of new teachers – a feeling and “freshness” that a teacher of any age or experience needs to remember. As a college grad and soon-to-be teacher, I love the community that #ntchat has. I find the topics are relevant and important conversations for all teachers, but especially ones that are just entering the field of education. #ntchat is one of my favorite chats on Twitter!

Loved the encouragement, openness, honesty, and willingness to connect and support. That’s what a new teacher, and all teachers, need to be the best for the students he or she has in the classroom!
